Back to TRU Campaign/Tobacco Opinion.

*Note: Governor Beverly Purdue signed House Bill 2 on May 19, 2009. This bill banned smoking in
restaurants and bars. On May 20, 2009 the above question was modified from its original version, which read:
Would you favor or oppose a statewide law in North Carolina that would make all
workplaces, including restaurants, and bars, smoke-free?

**History of Cardiovascular Disease includes history of heart attack or coronary heart disease or stroke.

***Poor sleep defined as not getting enough rest or sleep for all 30 days out of the past 30 days.

Use caution in interpreting cell sizes less than 50, % = Percentage, C.I.(95%) = Confidence Interval (at 95 percent probability level).
Percentages are weighted to population characteristics and therefore cannot be calculated exactly from the numbers in this table.
