2003 Detailed Mortality Statistics for North Carolina

Introduction to the Detailed Mortality Statistics

Select a DMS table:

Prior to 2003, death records with missing race or gender had this information imputed from other cases with known race and sex. Beginning in 2003, records with unknown race or sex no longer have the information imputed. Therefore the numbers of deaths for the race-sex groups (white male, white female, minority male, and minority female) may not add up to the total number of deaths due to cases of missing race or sex.

The tables and associated documents are available as PDF documents. You will need the free Adobe Reader to access them. Download the latest version from Adobe.
