2018 BRFSS Survey Results: Local Health Director Region 4 Demographics

Colorectal Cancer Screening (Age 50+)

For a SIGMOIDOSCOPY, a flexible tube is inserted into the rectum to look for problems. A COLONOSCOPY is similar,
but uses a longer tube, and you are usually given medication through a needle in your arm to make you sleepy
and told to have someone else drive you home after the test.

Was your MOST RECENT exam a sigmoidoscopy or a colonoscopy?*

PLEASE NOTE: Due to changes in the weighting methodology and other factors, results from 2018
are NOT comparable to 2010 and earlier years.

Regional demographic estimates have been suppressed because they do not meet statistical reliability standards.

^Use caution in interpreting cell sizes less than 50, % = Percentage, C.I.(95%) = Confidence Interval (at 95 percent probability level).
Percentages are weighted to population characteristics and therefore cannot be calculated exactly from the numbers in this table.
