The Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has the primary responsibility for promoting and improving the health of our nation’s women, children and families. The MCHB convened a workgroup to develop the new standardized Minimum/Core (M/C) Indicators as a consensus-based, common set of state MCH reporting measures, definitions and data elements that can accommodate differing levels of state MCH data capacity. The M/C Indicators are divided into three data sets: Minimum/National Dataset (M/NDS); Core/National Dataset (C/NDS); and Core/State Dataset (C/SDS). Data for these measures will be updated annually. The N/C Indicators are intended to
Minimum/National Data Set (M/NDS) – North Carolina
Core/National Data Set (C/NDS) – North Carolina
Core/State Data Set (C/SDS) – North Carolina
For questions or more information about the NC M/C Indicators, please contact the State Systems Development Initiative Project Coordinator (Email or 919-707-5515).
