Division of Public Health

  • Healthy North Carolina 2030 - The Healthy North Carolina 2030 project brings together experts and leaders from multiple fields to inform the development of a common set of public health indicators and targets for the state over the next decade. These indicators will serve as the population health improvement plan for the North Carolina Division of Public Health.

Epidemiology Section

  • Communicable Disease - Annual statewide summary report and quarterly updates for reportable communicable diseases which include, but are not limited to, Campylobacter, E. coli O157:H7, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B acute and chronic, Lyme disease, Measles, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Salmonellosis, Shingellosis, Strepto. A invasive, Tuberculosis (TB) and Vanco. Resistant Enterococci.
  • HIV/STD/AIDS Surveillance - Reportable STDs include human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia and others. Quarterly and annual reports, as well as topical fact sheets, provide information on statewide trends and summary information for each county.
  • Influenza Sentinel Surveillance Program - Now included with the weekly respiratory surveillance report summary dashboards.
  • Animal Rabies - Tables and maps showing the spread of rabies in land-based animals since 1990.
  • Tuberculosis - Data from the North Carolina Tuberculosis Control Program - Annual N.C. Tuberculosis Statistical Summary includes county specific number of cases and rates. Additional reports focus on Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis Cases and Reported Tuberculosis Cases in Foreign Born Persons.
